This combination antioxidant serum is formulated under the Duke Antioxidant patent. Vitamin C is a highly-potent antioxidant that by its structure has difficultly being effectively absorbed by skin. The Duke Antioxidant patent outlines the formulation parameters required for effective delivery of vitamin C to skin:

1) pure l-ascorbic acid (vitamin C);
2) an acidic pH within the 2.0-3.5 pH range and;
3) a concentration between 10%-20%.

SkinCeuticals is the only brand to formulate antioxidants according to these parameters.

How To Use

In the morning after cleansing and toning, apply 4-5 drops of Silymarin CF to a dry face, neck, and chest before other skincare products.

Science

The measure of an antioxidant is not only its superior environmental protection, but its visible results. Silymarin CF clinical studies show a reduction in oiliness, refined skin texture, and an improvement in fine lines, and overall appearance.
Protocol: Average results shown. A 12-week, single-center clinical study conducted on 50 women and men ages 18-50 with oily, blemish-prone skin (Brazil, 2020). Silymarin CF was applied once daily in conjunction with a sunscreen.

Pore-refining gel cleanses, exfoliates, and soothes normal, combination, or oily skin.

Ingredients

Sulfonic acid (HEPES): this synthetically derived acid activates natural enzymes in skin to help break the bonds that bind dead skin cells to the surface for even exfoliation.

Glycerin: derived from vegetable sources, this powerful humectant possesses water-binding properties that help deliver intense hydration.

Chamomile extract: derived from the matricara flower, this extract has effective soothing actions that calm and comfort the skin.

Citric acid: derived from citrus fruits, this alpha-hydroxy acid helps promote cell turnover to exfoliate and smooth skin.

Amilite surfactant system: derived from glycine and coconut oily fatty acids, this mild cleansing agent creates a dense and rich foam that efficiently emulsifies to lift debris and makeup, without causing the skin to feel dry.

How to use

Twice daily, gently massage one pump of this makeup removing cleanser onto a wet face and neck using a light circular motion.

Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry.

If using in the morning, follow with a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and sunscreen. If using in the evening, follow with a SkinCeuticals corrective product or moisturizer.
